  UNCENSORED QUOTES OF THE WEEK:

“I loved playing that part as Todd, (or Victor, or whoever the hell I was). But I don’t miss it in the least. I miss many of the people and my friends, but I don’t miss the job at all. I’m so over Todd Manning.”

  — Former ONE LIFE fan fave Trevor St. John in a TRIBUTE.CA interview promoting his film, IN THE FAMILY.

Translation: And so are GH fans! But I don’t miss Victor Lord Jr.!

“There’s always going to be a part of Todd in me. People will see Todd in everything I do from now on if you watched the soap, because I brought a lot of myself to that role. People other than me are going to make comparisons. I don’t. But they are. All good things come to an end. I hope I can satisfy the fans in other ways.”

  — St. John continues

Translation: Like having snarky sex with each one of us.

“I never thought I’d see the day three women would be fighting over him! And me at age 60-blah-blah! Of course one of them’s a lunatic, one’s a shrew, and one’s a crazy bitch. [Laughs] I’ll leave it to you to figure out which is which.”

  — GH’s Tony Geary in TV GUIDE MAGAZINE on the upcoming Anna/Luke/Tracy triangle

Translation: All three women are morons for coveting a rapist-alcoholic child-killer.

“It’s an affirmation I’m still in the picture. There were several years where I was kind of slipping through the cracks at GH. But this time they went out on a limb and gave me some really dark, emotionally raw material.”

  — Geary on his latest Emmy nomination

Translation: I am big, it’s the soaps that got smaller.

“Does an actor return to the soap opera they starred on 20 years ago?”

  — Bethenny Frankel to me in HELLO! CANADA on whether or not she’d ever return to THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK

Translation: I’ve never heard of Julianne Moore, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Finola Hughes, Kelly Ripa…

“[My audition was] the first time I met Maurice. I had a wardrobe malfunction…”

  — Lindsey Morgan to WELOVESOAPS.NET on reinventing GH’s Slutina

Translation: And then I got the part!

“Bill was almost always mad after watching the show. There would be several phone calls after it was over. He wrote the scripts and he wanted them to play the way he wanted them to be played, but sometimes, the producer wouldn’t always do it.”

  — Lee Bell promoting the new Bill Bell bio she co-authored in DIGEST

Translation: If he watched Y&R today he’d self-combust!

  “Maybe… someday… I’m thinking about it.”

  — Bell on writing her own memoirs one day.

Translation: One of my son’s marriages may not survive it!

SOAPCLASSICS TO RELEASE AMC, ONE LIFE DVDs?

With Oakdale and Springfield living on, thanks to SOAP CLASSICS DVD series, many are wondering if Llanview and Pine Valley will be featured one day. According to Soap Socialite Jason Spitzer during a recent interview on SOAP SERIES, there are talks! While it’s just a hunch, Spitzer hinted that he spoke with Roger Newcomb, who helps SOAP CLASSICS pick episodes for each themed-DVD, and it’s definitely a possibility! Whoohoo!

  GAME OF THRONES

  HAMMER TIME AT THE EMMYS?

Little is known regarding THE DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS program airing on June 23 on HLN. But the network tweeted that the Outstanding Morning Show (with only two nominees: TODAY versus GMA) will be the final award instead of the Daytime Drama Series category which has traditionally been last. Whatevs.

HLN also promises a "return to glamour" for this year's ceremony. They also announced that the Outstanding Culinary Program award will be given out on the telecast for the first time.

In other news, expect a host announcement soon. As UNCENSORED readers know, Lisa Rinna has already thrown her hat in the ring. However, one insider predicts the master of ceremony will be CNN’s A.J. Hammer who hosts SHOWBIZ TONITE.

The most ideal candidate would have been comedian Joy Behar, a nominee for THE VIEW, but considering HLN cancelled her titular nighttime talk show that seems like an improbability.

The news network is also away a trip for two to the award show, plus a red carpet makeover! You can enter once a day through June 19. Visit HLNTV.com maybe you could be the lucky winner!

  HOT TOPIC

WAS LAURA WRIGHT WRONG TO APPEAR ON THE CHEW?

Fans were stunned last week when GH star Laura Wright decided to appear on the food series that replaced AMC. At first it looked like Wright was there to promote her wine, Standing Sun, so I couldn’t blame the actress.

While certain fans expressed their disappointment and anger, I supported Wright’s decision to do whatever she wants, however ill-sighted and naïve it was.

She can pop up on THE CHEW or THE LOO for all I care. What incensed me was what happened during the episode.

Controversial co-host Mario Batali pulled Laura close to him as if she were a prop and said:

"In the soap opera world, the fans are viciously attached to their characters. Daytime TV fans weren't quite ready for us when they started, but I think we made some moves, and a lot of people that used to watch some of the shows find them at different times, and now we're part of that same beautiful daytime pop culture which makes us very proud."

There are so many things wrong and agenda-driven with that statement but the
most egregious is the adjective Batali use: vicious. Really? Seriously? Vicious? That’s rich coming from someone accused of stealing money from his employees.

Clearly, THE CHEW had an agenda by inviting Wright to the series — the first soap star to do so since the show premiered last fall.

Wright is talented but she’s not that bright.

Surely, if she wanted to sell her wine she’d find a talk show that soap fans actually watched. Moreover, GH has higher demo ratings than THE CHEW.

A friend pointed out that soap stars frequent THE TALK, which replaced AS THE WORLD TURNS and GUIDING LIGHT…. But the difference is that GH is still in danger of being cancelled by ABC. And many believe it was P&G that killed WORLD TURNS and GL — not CBS. Moreover, CBS is seemingly committed to its two soaps, B&B and Y&R. In short, Wright’s appearance was akin to sleeping with the enemy.

I don’t begrudge Wright for promoting her wine on THE CHEW (it’s hard out there for a pimp these days) but I take issue with
